Energy Efficiency / Fuel Poverty

Energy Efficiency visits are a free service aimed at reducing fuel poverty.

Following Home Safety visits the Home Assessment Officer can make a referral to the Warm Homes Scheme (Warm Homes is funded by the Department of Social Development ).

Who Qualifies? Home Owners, Tenants renting from a Private landlord if they receive certain benefits

Which Benefits? Income Support, Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit(with NHS exemption), Working Tax Credit, Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Housing Benefit, Rate Rebate, Job Seekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance.

What is Available? Cavity Wall Insulation

                                  Loft Insulation

                                  Hot water Cylinder jacket

                                  Energy Advice

                                  Benefit Entitlement Check

Warm Homes Plus is an additional service

Housing Benefit, Rate Rebate, Income Support, Employment Support Allowance, Job Seekers Allowance, Pension Credit, Working tax Credit

And

They have Economy 7, Solid Fuel, Bottle Gas Heating or no heating at all

What is Available?

Above Insulation measures, Installation of oil/gas fired central heating

Conversion of Economy 7 or bottle gas or solid fuel to oil/gas central heating.
