Information & advice
ODC holds databases on arts and cultural organisations and organisations using arts/cultural activities. They also keep records of artists living and working in the area.
Officers are willing to give advice on a range of subjects - event management, funding opportunities, development strategies.

Strategy Development
ODC plays a part in developing national strategy for the arts through it's involvement in the Forum for Local Governement & the Arts, an organisaiton supported by The Arts Council of Northern Ireland. Each council nominates a councillor, an officer and a member of the Arts Committee to this body.

Omagh District Council Arts & Cultural service also fund & assist with other annual events:
The Mid Ulster Festival of Amateur Drama
The Appalachian and Bluegrass Music Festival
New events are continuously being developed, and Omagh District Council aim to respond to needs for advice and funding as required.
