The well renowned Mulcahy Family will play the Dún Uladh Centre on the 13th of March. This event will launch our St Patrick’s weekend celebrations which include, Céilí’s, Sessions and a concert by Omagh branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. The group, led by, Mick Mulcahy and accompanied his daughters Louise and Michelle, have won numerous musical competitions and their playing is filled with a graceful charm that comes from a love of the music. As was quoted by one critic, “If you're into traditional Irish music or looking for a gateway as you transition from the more "rockin'" Irish bands like Lunasa or Solas to more traditional music, you need to spend some time with the Mulcahy Family”

Jack Pakenham Outreach Programme in Association with The Millienium Court Arts Centre
Jack Pakenham views the backgrounds and scenery of his paintings as a stage and the figures within them as actors, so for this project we will create set design based on German expressionist cinema (Pakenham’s art is influenced by German Expressionist Painting). Masks also feature heavily, so we will incorporate our masks into a set design. Participants of the workshop will form a group to create our own Pakenham inspired set, to put on display in Strule Arts Centre.
