Bursary Awards
The Irish language Bursary scheme is the longest running Irish language scheme of ODC. Now in its 20th year, the scheme offers 14 bursaries to secondary school children, 4 adult bursaries and one family bursary (2 parents and 2 children who must be at least primary school age). Individual bursaries are worth £150 while the family bursary is worth £300.
The bursaries give secondary school students assistance to attend an Irish summer course in a Gaeltacht area for 3 weeks while adults are expected to complete a one week course in a Gaeltacht area with the aid of their award.
