Investing In Omagh
Omagh, with an urban population of 25,000 and a total district population approaching 50,000 is the largest centre in the south west of N. Ireland.
It has been identified as a regional growth and major service centre by the Government Department responsible for planning the strategic developments of N. Ireland.
The key reasons are:-
- Omagh has strong growth potential with relatively few constraints to development
- Omagh has considerable potential to develop its industrial and retail base
- Omagh's location on the Londonderry to Belfast transport corridor and its central location in the West, equip it well to develop as the major service centre for the north west of the island of Ireland.
- Growth has been underpinned by a high level of residential growth with associated services.
- The Council and its partners will work with prospective investors to facilitate their operations in the District.
