Peace 3
Derry City Council, Strabane District Council and Omagh District Council have formed a North West Cluster to deliver Priority 1.1 of the Peace III Programme (2007-13) – Building Positive Relationships at a Local Level. The aim of this theme is to challenge attitudes towards sectarianism and racism and to support conflict resolution and mediation at the local community level.
The North West Partnership Board which is made up of social partners, elected members of the Councils and statutory agency representatives, has developed a North West Peace III Action Plan in consultation with local stakeholders. The role of the Partnership will be to deliver upon the Action Plan and its six strategic priorities.
