Omagh

Around 17,280 people live in Omagh town and the town is now, with the exception of Derry/Londonderry, the second largest town in the west of Northern Ireland. It is the County town of Tyrone, having taken the title from Dungannon around 1768.

Following a long, and sometimes turbulent history, Omagh is now a recognised place of importance and influence as a major administrative and service centre for the region.
