Dog Fouling
Dog fouling is a common problem known to many. It is not only unpleasant but it can also spread a very serious disease called Toxocara through direct or indirect contact, which is of a particular higher risk in children.
Anyone allowing a dog to foul in certain places will be guilty of an offence, and could be liable to an on the spot fine of £25 from the Enforcement Officer (Litter), or, if taken to court, a maximum penalty of £500 plus costs.

Dog owners are encouraged to train their dog at an early stage to 'go' on command at home and worm their dog regularly. Always clean up after your dog with a poop scoop and dispose of the faeces properly.
The Council spends thousands of pounds annually on street cleansing - a good proportion of this is used cleaning up after dogs. Help us make better use of Ratepayer's money by accepting responsibility for your pet's hygiene.
