Angling - Foyle River System
The Loughs Agency aims to provide sustainable social, economic and environmental benefits through the effective conservation, management, promotion and development of the fisheries and marine resources of the Foyle and Carlingford Areas.
Omagh Anglers Association
Omagh Anglers is one of the oldest and largest angling clubs in Northern Ireland with around 700 members. The club has access to fishing which extends from upstream of Omagh down to below Newtownstewart taking in the rivers Drumragh, Camowen, Strule and the Owenkillew. This is one of the most prolific trout systems in Ireland and it also receives large runs of salmon and sea trout.

GENEALOGY

General Records Office of Northern Ireland
The main records held are the statutory registers of births, deaths, marriages, still-births and adoptions. The office does not engage in genealogical research although the records can contain valuable information for anyone compiling a family tree.
Registers of births and deaths (from 1864) and registers of marriages (from 1845). These civil registers make up the main series of records maintained by the General Register Office.

Graveyards are outdoor museums and the most accessible source for studying the local community and its history. e.g. Captin Colvill of the private ship of war Amazon and only son of Robert Colvill of Bangor was wrecked near this ground on the 25th of Feb. 1780 in his 29th Year. Our searchable graveyard database contains over 1,200 graveyards from Antrim, Armagh, Down, Derry, Fermanagh, Tyrone.
