Plans And Policies

Freedom of Information logoThe purpose of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 is to promote greater openness and accountability across the public sector. Public authorities are placed under a duty by the Act to adopt a "Publication Scheme" and publish information in accordance with such a scheme. A Publication Scheme is simply a guide to the types of information a public authority undertakes to make available to the public as a matter of routine.

Omagh District Council has, in accordance with our statutory duty, adopted a Publication Scheme which describes the type of information we routinely make available to the public, whether a charge is made for any of this information and also the form in which the information is published (for example on our web site, in leaflet form or as a report).

You can access the full version of our Publication Scheme by clicking below. The Publication Scheme document also contains our Charging Structure for published information.
