Plans And Policies
The purpose of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 is to promote greater openness and accountability across the public sector. Public authorities are placed under a duty by the Act to adopt a "Publication Scheme" and publish information in accordance with such a scheme. A Publication Scheme is simply a guide to the types of information a public authority undertakes to make available to the public as a matter of routine.
Omagh District Council has, in accordance with our statutory duty, adopted a Publication Scheme which describes the type of information we routinely make available to the public, whether a charge is made for any of this information and also the form in which the information is published (for example on our web site, in leaflet form or as a report).
You can access the full version of our Publication Scheme by clicking below. The Publication Scheme document also contains our Charging Structure for published information.
